Tenshar Posted December 23, 2015 Share Posted December 23, 2015 Hello, I recently (6 days ago) received the Corsair Gaming H2100 Wireless Dolby® 7.1 Gaming Headset (Apologies for the thread title, the product name may be slightly incorrect), which I had ordered from Amazon about a week before that. Ever since I've started using them, each day after a few hours of use (and left charging over-night on a wall-socket USB port) I notice a ringing noise in the right ear. This isn't the usual white noise that people usually report, as far as I know (the quiet noise that appears when a program starts that uses the headset for audio input or output). I don't find that annoying at all as it's completely masked by any audio that's played. What I'm experiencing is a loud, high-pitched beeping/ringing (sort of like the ringing you get in your ear from time to time, or a car alarm, but with a higher pitch, and quiter of course), but only from the right side, and only when it's not plugged in. When the headset is plugged in (i.e. charging) the high-pitched ringing is completely gone. It is loud enough to be very noticable when there isn't something loud happening in the game I'm playing, the video I'm watching or the music I'm listening to. At first, the sound didn't come until around 8 hours after use. Yesterday it appeared after 4 hours. Today it happened as soon as I turned the device on. I've already tried to reinstall the driver and software utility as well as using a different USB port. I don't have Wi-Fi or bluetooth enabled on my PC or my phone, just in case there is a possibility that there is some sort of interference coming from there. There are no wireless devices lying around that could be causing any interference, as far as I know. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the headset or the receiver, but either way it's highly frustrating and I would really appreciate any advice. Toasted Posted December 25, 2015 Share Posted December 25, 2015 Is the charging indicator flashing red/amber/something like that when you turn on or use the headset? It sounds likes the low battery warning sound you are hearing which disappears when you are charging. It plays the sound at the same volume set in Windows.
