gtrwriter
Hi Just got my Asus A8v Rev 2.0 + 2 x CMX512-3200C2 and a 3200+ .09nm winchester cpu and am wondering what are the best [tightest] timings to use at stock 3200+ speed ? gtrwriter
...also ... forgot to ask .... what is the maximum voltage that these CMX5123200C2 sticks can run on / accept. It *looks* like that even though they are C2 sticks, they happily run at:- Cas - 2 TRCD - 2 TRP - 2 TRas - 5 as "auto" voltage. In case I get some instability at these settings, what can I safely bump up the DDR voltage too ? My A8V can go up to 2.8v but I am worried I will burn the memory out if I go this high ? Wired
They're warrantied up to, but not over, 2.9 volts, so all is well.
gtrwriter
Thx Wired I just ran my 2 x 512 CMX 3200 C2 in Memtest 1.40 as follows in dual channel mode in my A8V:- Cas - 2 TRCD - 2 TRP - 2 TRAS - 5 DDR Volt - AUTO Memory Ratio - DDR 400 / 1:1 / 200mhz Command 2T - DISABLED - running @ 1T and my results were -> 5 passes -> 0 errors -> took 2hrs 14mins to run 5 passes It [Memtest 1.40] was still going but I stopped it after 5 passes as I was getting bored / running out of time. Does the above mean that my C2 is %99.99999 guaranteed / certified / the same as XL memory which also runs @ 2/2/2/5 but costs **MEGA** more ? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 20, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 20, 2004 I think you just got lucky, but XMS3200C2 would be rated at Cass 2.5-3-3-6 on AMD platform and Cass 2-3-3-6 on Intel.
