All fans at 0 inside Corsair Link on reboot

Hi everyone,

To continue my frustrations with the Corsair Link software, every time I reboot my computer, all the fans and devices that are in groups and placed on the PC overlay appear with 0 fan speed. There are new devices in the sidebar ready to be added.

I'm running Corsair Commander Mini, Windows 10 64bit, Corsair Link version 3.2.5742. All of the following are hooked up to the Commander Mini module, H100i, 3x AF140, 2x SP120(QE-PWM) & Corsair RGB LED strip

I've already had to change the values in the registry to stop Corsair Link from 'detecting new devices' and tryind to reboot my PC all the time. I've reinstalled windows multiple times, and reinstalled the software without luck.

I'm getting really frustrated with this software. Corsair's hardware is on point, but this software is so below par with so many people having issues.

Has anyone had the issues above please? And if you fixed it, what did you do to resolve the issue please?

Thanks

This is a well known issue in most every version of Link software and that is a usb device conflicting with the header link is connecting to.

This can be checked by disconnecting usb devices and rebooting.,

devices like elaborate keyboards and mice and even some flash drives can cause such issues...

I'm wondering if this is a hardware or CL software issue. One way to check would be to exit CL, run my SIV and see what [Link Devices] + [Link Status] report.

Ok so I downloaded the program, found the link devices and menu's somehow and here are the screenshots.

Ideally attach .PNG screen shots to the post rather than using http://imgur.com/

Couldnt find the attachments button, so had to resort to imgur as it was late, found it now :)

On your CL screen shot what other items are in the left column when you scroll it?

Asus Mobo Temps + CPU Fan (fan doesn't exist as using H100i)

GPU Fan + Temps

CPU Temps + Load

SSD Temp

H100i Temp + LED + Pump

Commander Mini Fans x5

Commander Min LED

Thanks for your help

If this is true this really sucks :(

The commander is plugged into its own USB header though, I don't know how this can be conflicting.

Thanks

I agree it's a hassle, even tho it's on it's own port, the m/b headers are still sharing turns so to speak and like redray has mentioned it's likely within corsair link,

I had this issue on my media server and had to use a rear external port which fixed things.

Hi wytnyt, So I recently bought a cable to plug the commander mini's usb header into a USB on the back of my motherboard.

Unfortunately the issue still exists. Every now and then, I turn on my PC and corsair link has completely unmapped my devices and I have to start from scratch.

I've tried resetting everything to default and starting fresh, does the same thing.

From the sounds of things it looks like i'm going to have to wait until CL4 comes out. But considering CL4 has 'been in the making' for over 8 months now I'm really considering getting rid.
