SinisterDev
One of my H110i GT fans died only 3 days after installing the new cooler.:[pouts: Corsair sent me a new one and i just got it in today. Everything appeared to be working fine until i started poking around in the Corsair Link software. The one original fan, listed as Fan 2, is showing a max rpm of 2138 as it always has. However this new fan i installed is listing its max Rpm as 812! I included a photo. I ran a few tests and it wont seem to go over 812rpm while under load! What's up with that?! The new fan looks to be the correct one. Any ideas? This is quite frustrating!
red-ray
The screen shot shows the Fan 1 setup rather than Fan 2 setup so is of little use. What happens is you set the Fan 2 mode to PWM and the speed to 100%? Post that.
SinisterDev
Ah , i see what you mean about the picture. I was in the middle of switching them up to test them. However, take a look at the icons for pump fan 1 and 2 at the top. Notice the difference in the yellow bar indicating each fan's RPM range? The one with the large range (2000+) is the remaining original fan, and the one with the small range is the new fan i just received. Both are set to PWM mode and connected to the pump. I've tried swapping the connectors, and even connecting the new fan to one of the other 4pin headers on my board. No matter where i plug it in, it shows a max rpm range of around 800-900. Some thing isn't right.
SinisterDev
Here is a picture of what you requested. Note the new fan is now connected as Fan 1 atm. When i select maximum speed, absolutely nothing happens. In fact now , as you can see in the photo, it's trying to say that fan two has a max rpm of 575... No matter what mode i set it to, or where its connected , its not behaving like it should. This is very frustrating. The first fan died only a couple days after installation. Just from websurfing and light gaming. The SP140L fans were back-ordered from Corsair, so it took a long while for the replacement to arrive, and now this fan isnt working right!!! What are the chances?! I have another pwm fan lying around, a smaller 120mm fan. Cannot use it with the H110i because it obviously wont fit the radiator, however I connected it in place of the new fan just to test, and it immediately showed up in Corsair link , displayed proper rpm range and gave me full control of all its functions , so i don't believe the pump itself is defective. red-ray
I suspect the replacement fan must be faulty. Contact Corsair support and see what they think.
