Legendhidde
Hi there, I just installed the Corsair lightbar upgrade kit and I found that the fins on 2/4 memory modules I have have come loose, they slide around on the inside. Turns out they're used for cooling, I am not sure how they were attached though it doesn't look like it was attached using more than glue. Is there any way I can fix this myself? RMA isn't really an option as I'd be without a functioning PC for weeks.
Corsair Employees Greybeard Posted December 15, 2015 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2015 Sorry to hear that. I understand that you don't want to go through the RMA process due to system downtime, but you can actually request an Express RMA to avoid that. We can send you the replacement first before you send that kit back to us.

I'm also rather afraid that sending my RAM to an RMA centre would mean having to send it from the Netherlands to either Germany or some other country which can cost me >20 Euros. Legendhidde
The RMA depot for the EU is in the Netherlands :) Oh, that is amazing to know! I've done a few things to my RAM that would cause me to not want to RMA them at the moment but if the loose heatsink fins ever become a problem I know that I can send it without hassle.
