spaceboy909
Hi all. My first build in 7 1/2 years and I've decided to try liquid cooling for the first time since it seems to be much more newbie friendly these days. I'm at the point of installing the fan and radiator, and 3 out of the 4 holes are so tight that the screws will not go in at all unless I force them. I can force them, but it will result in rethreading the holes and possible metal shavings spilling out which may end up on the motherboard. One hole has just barely enough slop to put the screw in a little ways. So, the question is: Is this normal? Since there are no nuts to hold the screws in place, it makes some sense that they should be snug, but, this seems overly tight, but maybe that is exactly the way it's supposed to be. After all, too loose and it may rattle its' way off at some point. So I'm holding off on continuing the build until I find out about this. One other quick question: The instructions show and mention nothing about the round plastic locking clip that came with it. I found one guide that showed a picture of it apparently being installed from the bottom. Is that correct? Thanks for any help. I hope I can get this built and tested tomorrow!
