djbrown21
I recently bought TWINX1024-3200XLPT from Newegg because I was building a gaming machine. After I started running some seriously intensive games, my machine would periodically crash. After replacing my video card I still had the same problems so I decided to run Memtest86+ v1.40. It detected the same failing address multiple times. Is there anything I can do. Here's the info: Failing Address: 000253bea10 - 595.8 MB Good: e4afede5 Bad: f4afede5 Err-Bits: 10000000 Thank you. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2004 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
djbrown21
The MB is a Shuttle FB81 with the intel 915G chipset. The processor is a Socket 775 Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with a 800 Mhz FSB. My bios setting are all set to auto detect. I have not overclocked anything. Derek
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 15, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 15, 2004 Minimum suggested voltage for XMS3200XL would be 2.75 Volts, I would try and set the Voltage to 2.8 Volts and you may have to set the Rass to Cass to "3" as well with this system, just please test with http://www.memtest.org to be sure it's stable. djbrown21
So you want me to change to these settings and then retest my system? Derek
djbrown21
I made the above changes and retested my system. I received the error and the same address. Derek
