cvolkers
Hey all, I have just purchased TWINX1024-3200XLPRO memory, and put it in at lunch time, have not had a chance to play yet. I do realize that I don't have a dual channel board, but that is comming soon, I wanted to get this memory. I had Kingston value ram in my system and when playing Halflife 2 my computer would lock, and studder and just frustrate me to no end. My config is as follows. AMD Athlon 64 3200+ MSI K8N NEO PLATINUM (TOTALLY LUV MSI BOARDS) 2 X 160GB SEAGATE SATA2 HDD (RAID 0) DVD-RW DVD-ROM 9 IN ONE CARD READER ATI 9600SE VID CARD WINDOWS XP PRO SP2 ATI ALL IN WONDER TV CARD ENLIGHT 420WATT PSU 6 TOTAL COOLING FANS W/LED Could someone tell me what the best BIOS setting for this mobo and mem are? Thanks in Advance. Chad
CMC_SAVAGE
I'd run default unless you run into a problem. You could list the BIOS settings and let us take a gander if you'd like.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 14, 2004 With this MB I would suggest you install them in slots 1-3 or 2-3 and set the Rass to Cass to "3" so I would set these timings and then set the Dim Voltage to +2.8 Volts: CAS Latency CL=2.0 Row Cycle Time tRC Bios Default Row Refresh Cyc Time tRFC Bios Default Ras# to CAS# delay tRCD 3 Row to Row delay Bios Default Min Ras# Active Time tRAS 11 Row Precharge Time tRP 2 Write Recovery Time Bios Default Write to Read delay Bios Default Read to Write Delay Bios Default Refresh Period tREF Bios Default Enable 2T Timing Disabled Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org and make sure it's stable! If you have problems, I would set Enable 2T Timings to AUTO and test it again!
