DroOp
I have purchased a TWINX1024-3200LLPT from TigerDirect.com 3 months ago. It was working fine on my Abit NF7-S motherboard until my computer couldn't boot anymore. My PC speaker is making long beep continuously. I checked my motherboard manual, and this means that DRAM isn't inserted correctly. So I tried to use each stick seperately and one of them is working perfectly whereas the other one doesn't work at all. I tested the non-working stick in every memory slot of my motherboard and it's always the same problem, the computer doesn't boot and I have the long beep continously. My interpretation would be that one of the stick just died... Should I get a replacement? Details: Abit NF7-S V1.0 Bios 28 AMD Athlon XP 2600 (12.5 X 166) Memory settings defined "By SPD"
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 13, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 13, 2004 Please try and clear your bios and then load setup defaults and set the memory Voltage to 2.7 Volts and set the memory Frequency at A 100%. Then test the system with http://www.memtest.org to be sure. But with a 333 FSB CPU you would need to run the memory at DDR333.
DroOp
I have clear my bios to default settings and I set the memory voltage to 2.7 V and memory frequency at 333 MHz. I still get the same problem the faulty stick don't allow me to boot the computer and I still get the long beep continously... The other stick works perfectly and memtest works without any errors.
