Bad module

Recommended Posts

I installed a pair of 512MB modules (VS1GBKIT400) and began experiencing an intermittent but predictable problem.

If the system had been off for more than about 8 hours, usually overnight, the system would have problems for about the first 30 seconds after start up. It would either fail to post, the os would crash, or would fail the microsoft memory test if I ran it.

Additionally, I replaced this memory with another set of exactly the same kind of memory (VS1GBKIT400), and all of the problems went away.

So can I have an RMA please?

Also, should I send in the pair or just the one bad stick?

Thanks.

I would just send the failing module. Please follow the directions under "I think I have a bad module" under this forum or if you have trouble, Please send us a email with a copy of the form or all of your info name address and phone# and the Module part# and copy the link to this post and email it to Rma@corsairmemory.com.

If after 1 day or 24 hours excluding weekends you do not get the rma please email the same to warranty@corsairmemory.com and we will help to resolve it.
