Replacement memory refuses to POST.

I just received my memory replacements from Corsair, two CMX256A-3200C2 modules ( XMS3202v1.2 / 0402053-3 ). I popped them in and I can't get my motherboard to POST. Currently I have two CMX512-3200C2 modules in there working fine.

Just to be sure, I bumped the vdimm to 2.75V on my motherboard (an Albatron PX865PE PRO II) and set my timings as loose as possible, then I removed my two 512mb sticks and put in one 256mb module. Didn't do me any good.

I realize that two brand new sticks probably aren't to blame here, but is there any way I can get it to work? The previous sticks that I RMAed for these let me boot up just fine.

I'm pretty clueless on this one, any help would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I tried that already. What I did was put in just one of the new modules, and took out and reinserted the cmos battery. Still no go.

Is it likely that two brand new modules could be bad? I wish I had another computer around to try them out.

If the memory IS functional, what could possibly be the reason for this?

So, is there nothing I can do about this?

I don't see why the memory would be imcompatible with the motherboard, it uses the very popular Intel 865PE chipset. The motherboard is only two weeks old, and if there was something wrong with it, I'm sure my Corsair TwinX1024-3200C2 wouldn't work as well as it does.

Sorry, I'm just really clueless at this point.

I would suspect there is some other issue, as all of our XMS modules are tested on a MB before they leave our factory, so it would really rare to get one that does not post the system, let alone 2. Can you test them in another system?
