Stefn
Hi, I recently bought my corsair xms3200c2pro (512mb). I overclocked my systeem (Asus A7N8X deluxe rev 2.0 with AMD Athlon 2600+) to fsb 197mhz with MP 11.5 (vcore at 1.75). Memory settings are set to "optimal" (3-3-3-8) with DRAM voltage 2.6. So far so good everything is completely stable. But when I change my latency settings to 2.5-3-3-6 (the 100% tested setting by Corsair at 200mhz), I keep getting blue screens in windows xp sp2 with al sorts of errors. I tried changing the DRAM voltage to 2.7, but this had no effect. My question is: why am i having so much trouble getting my memory to run at 2.5-3-3-6? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 9, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 9, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/Optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-3200C2 CPU Freq: 166 MHz (333 FSB) 197 if OC System Performance: User Define Memory Frequency: 100% Resulting Frequency: 166 MHz (333 FSB) 197 if OC Memory Timing: User Define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T DDR Reference Voltage: 2.8 Volts AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings are motherboards defaults Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
