drfloyd5
Hi Ram Guy and All, I have 2 sticks of TWINX1024-3200C2PT clocked at 200Mhz 2.5-3-3-8 @ 2.5v in an MSI K8N Neo2 Platnium board, Dual Channel on slots 1 and 2 (per MSI Instructions). Windows XP blue screens like Win95. Weird CRC check errors. Install checksums don't match. (But After Reboot, they are ok). Generally bad "user experience". :(: memtest86 runs fine for at least 5 hours. I've not tried longer. MS Memory Checker, detects errors fairly frequently during the lrand portion of the test using 2 sticks. If I test the sticks individually, all is well. Any suggestions? Thanks all! -DrFloyd5
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2004 This would suggest the issue is either a bios setting or the system configuration. I would try moving the modules to slots 3-4 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and please go to MSI's user forum and get the latest beta bios and install it and then load setup defaults and then set the following timings. And please do not enable any of the performance options in the bios. DRAM Clock: 200 MHz DRAM Timing (overrides SPD values): Manual System Performance: Normal SDRAM Bank cycle time (or tRAS): 6 SDRAM Bank Interleave: 4 SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3 SDRAM RAS-to-CAS Delay (tRCD): 3 SDRAM CAS Latency: 2 (2.5 on AMD platform) Command Rate: 1T All other settings are motherboard defaults.
