Scra99tch
I ran memtest with 2.75v on this paticular stick and came up with several errors. I used default settings on my mobo which is Asus A7n8x-e with a 400mhz 3200+ amd. I also tried switching all the auto settings to user defined and switched off FSB Spread Spectrum still having crashes. A big question is when I RMA this part is it possible to pay the difference and get a CMX512-3200XLPT upgrade I accidently bought another XLPT from newegg to add to this C2PT stick but boguht the wrong one. Wired
Well you can ask your reseller, but I am sorry to say we do not sell direct so we would not have a way to change to another part#. That's the official stance.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2004 James, I am sorry but we do not have a way to chnage to another part#. In addition, if you have a 3200+ pease set the FSB Jumper to Pins 2-3 furthest away from the CPU and then clear the bios and install the modules in slots 2-3 and then when you turn it on go to bios setup and load setup defaults and set the timings and Frequency manually to whats listed bellow. CPU Freq: 200 MHz Memory Frequency: 100% Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts Resulting Frequency: 200MHz SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T Then please test them again with wwww.memtest.org, and if you still get errors with one module lets get them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
