boca
Our Computer the other day, well working in Word beeped a long time then shut down. Trying to turn the machine on again we were greeted with beeping sounds, I first thought that maybe it was the Video card, or a cable loose, but after checking all connections and cards ( network, video, sound ) I found that if I took out my second bank stick of ram, the machine would boot fine. I removed the "first" stick of "good" ram and replaced it with the second bank stick to see if maybe the mother board's ram socket might be bad, but to no avail, the machine started to beep again. I replaced it with the original first stick and the machine is fine again. My mother board only allows me to build ram sticks in orders so I cant try it in another bank. But seeing as how it beeps in the first bank I am thinking it might be bad. Here is a listing of my machine specs.
