kevdsn
I have a stick of VS512MB400C3 ram, recently purchased a ASRock K7VT6 m/board and AthlonXP Barton 3200 processor. When I tried to install windowsXP home, I constantly received the blue stop error screen reporting the errors 0x0000000A, 0x00000080, 0x0000008E and numerous cd read errors from the new windows cd. (in both cd drives) The bios was set to default, with all mem settings on auto (which showed 333mhz for the ram), I altered the ram to 400mhz but still no joy, exactly the same. In desperation I took out the ram module and put in a generic PC3200 512mb 400mhz stick of ram from a friend and just like magic all the probs stopped, windows installed perfectly and the machine has not had a stop error since. I also tried the Corsair VS ram in my P4 2.66 333mhz MSI motherboard, and immediately got the dreaded blue screen stop error. I am now convinced this module is U/S. Your help would be appreciated in advising me what to do next....... Many thanks... Kev
