jaguaraja
I was occasionally getting a memory error in windows. I'd get an error message stating a error when referencing some address. I'd hit ok and the program would close. After this happened a few more times, i ran memtest-86 v3.2 After running the test, the test found errors on two specific memory addresses. I reran the tests and the results were confirmed. I would like an RMA to replace my TWINX1024-3200XL directly from Corsair.
Wired
What CPU / FSB / motherboard do you have? What memory timings / voltage are you running? Try 2-2-2-5 @ 2.75 or 2.8 volts, if no go, try setting the ras to cas delay to 3.
jaguaraja
CPU: Athlon 64 3500 MB: MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum Other settings are at default. I'm not at my home computer now, but if i recall fsb @ 400mhz timings @ 2-2-2-5 voltage - don't remember right now (i'll check when i get home, might be 2.75) i'd rather not change a delay since I paid for 2-2-2-5. Wired
The reasoning behind setting it to 3 for that one setting is because of the memory controller. Sometimes the socket 939's don't like 2 or 2.5. Easiest way to check it though would be to test it on a non-AMD64 based CPU and non-Intel chipset 865/875 (same issue). jaguaraja
I'll do as you say and run memtest again and let you know the results. Thank you for your help thus far. I won't be able to give you the results till tonight though.
