gcediblemedia.
I've got 2GB corsair twinx 2048 with a8v. Last week got a few "memory could not be "written"" error with exporer. Ran memtest86 and got lots of errors on channel1. Afterwards windows wouldn't boot with memory errors. Tried removing stick one and booted fine. Flashed the bios to 1008 and put the stick back in and booted OK but not stable. Everything is set on AUTO in memory config. My question is - how likely is it thats its a config problem rather than a physical problem with the stick. What configs should I try before I return the sticks? Ran memtest again with 2 sticks and got lots of memory errors immediately. THanks! Getho
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2004 Yes, please make sure the modules are in slots 2-4 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test with http://www.memtest.org to be sure.
