Phil Scott
Hello, Started my first overclocking and hit some limits of course. Found advice to run memtest86. Will pass at 245 but not 250. Corsair says they test at 400 3-4-4-8 2.75V on my MB. ?Do I have a problem? MB ASUS P4c800E-DLX, P4 2.6 800Mhz FSB Have set variables according to above and 2.85V and no workie. Advice Please. Phil PS. Memory purchased 12/03 at zipzoomfly.
jsteel44
Are you running 1:1 ratio? if so are you sure your cpu can do 3.25Ghz at whatever voltage and cooling you have? Failing memtest can also be attributed to a unstable cpu.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2004 More than likely your CPU is topping out!
Phil Scott
Think you both are correct. Tried Memtest at 250 and 320(5:4) and failed. Am running stable at 240 with 400 (1:1). CPU temp about 27 no load. Thanks.
