2live4 Posted December 4, 2004 Share Posted December 4, 2004 Hi I Want To know How to Configure Corsair ValueSelect Ram and what The Best Configuration For My Pc To Obtain The Best Performance in gaming. Now Im using epox 8RDA+3 mb with processor AMD Athlon Barton Xp 2500+, and using Nvidia Geforce4 Ti 8x with 128mb memory and 2x 256 Pc3200 Corsair ValueSelect and in dual channel mode. CMC_SAVAGE Posted December 4, 2004 Share Posted December 4, 2004 You could try to up the FSB of the CPU to 400. There's no guarentee that it would work, but if it does you could run the RAM at full speed. Alot of people are able to push a 333MHz Barton to 400. 2live4 Posted December 4, 2004 Author Share Posted December 4, 2004 Well I tried The settings but my pc make a sound like ram error.... so i have to use the old settings...about the fsb... do you mean the fsb frequency coz mine only reach 250 mhz.. :confused: .Now my settings is at 9.5 for clock ratio, 200mhz for fsb freq, and my ram current setting is 2.5,3,3,7 if i do 2.5,3,3,8 then the pc will make ram error sound. :[pouts: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
CMC_SAVAGE Posted December 5, 2004 Share Posted December 5, 2004 In the BIOS the CPU FSB is doubled in an AMD system. A BIOS setting of 200 would actually be 400. If you don't have a clue, don't mess with it. If you're not familiar with BIOS tweaking and the consequences just run everything at the default settings.
