artemide
not until I ran the extended tests on memtest 86 did I pick up the error. its at 128.6MB 0000800b5a0 just incase you are curious. Newegg of course warranties nothing, so I need an RMA .. but first I need to post. So here's my post :) FYI: After finding the error I restricted the address range of memtest to the area around the error and it fond the error pretty consistantly. artemide
you're probably going to ask me all sorts of bios questions and stuff .. so just to cut that off at the pass here it goes ... Asus P4P800-E with the latest BIOS update Pentium 4 3.0 extreme edition with HT nothing is overclocked everything is pretty much default except for some IDE settings. all the ram and cpu settings are on Auto. I had 2 strips and the machine is stable running on the second strip. Like I said .. memtest86 picked the errors up..and its stable now with out this strip of ram. Thanks. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2004 Please try and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 Volts and then test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org with Legacy USB disabled in the bios. If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! But I would suggest you send both modules, as this Revision is no longer available.
artemide
There was no setting in the BIOS to change the DIMM voltage, I did however turn off Legacy USB suppot, just out of curiosity, what does that have to do with RAM errors? Anywho, the bad peice still showed errors the other did not, but I would like to replace them as a pair, that would be great. I'll follow the link. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 7, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 7, 2004 Under Jumper free set AI Over Clock Tuner to Manual and then you can set the Dim Voltage. That should be listed in the manual under section 4.
