graywizard
I came home the other day and my system would not past Post. System gave me post beeps indication no memory. I proceded to remove memory and take it to a local computer store to confirm memory status. they tried them on 3 different test systems and all indicated the same thing - dead memory. I had 1Gig of the these great memory sticks - 2 matched pairs. What do I do now?

Wired
Sure that R is there? What motherboard / CPU combos are you trying? Make sure they can take registered memory.
graywizard
I seamed to be confused here somewhere. These memory sticks were in my computer working just fine for the last 4 months. This is not a new instalation. I'm using an Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe with an AMD Athlon XP at 2500. No tweeks or overclocking. I did find out my motherboard was bad also and have since replaced it with another A7N8X-E Deluxe. While having things checked out at a local computer store this memory was tried on the new motherboard and failed post. The memory are TWINX1024-3200C2. The number on each stick is CMX512R-3200C2 with another number XMS3200Rv2. What do I do now?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 8, 2004 This chipset will not support registered memory. Please talk to your reseller and see if they will let you send this back and get the same part# with no "R" or "RE" in the part#
