Orbzon
I have a Gigabyte motherboard and am trying to use 2 pairs of CMX512-3200C2 in a dual configuration. I have only been using one stick of 512, but when I upgraded to one gig , my bios will not post! These sticks are non ECC, so why won't they work? I would really like to have a dual config. and Gigabyte says it supports this type of configuration! It works fine with one stick in slot 1, but when I add the other stick in slot 2, no dice! Someone please help me :(:
CMC_SAVAGE
2 "pairs" of 512-3200 would be 2 GB. 2 sticks would be 1 GB. Which one ? Either/or, are the modules all the same Revision?
Orbzon
I am currently only using one stick of 512 CMX512-3200C2 and it works fine. However, when I added another stick of 512 CMX512-3200C2 to my setup, my bios won't post. I hoped to have 1 gig of ram in a dual configuration. The modules are all the same Revision. Is there a compatability issue between this type of Corsair ram and my Gigabyte motherboard? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am very stumped
Wired
Have you tried one stick at a time in multiple slots? Is this the same board from this thread: http://houseofhelp.com/v3/showthread.php?t=29698
CMC_SAVAGE
Run Memtest on each module to see if one is bad. If it is, request a RMA.
Orbzon
My Gigabyte motherboard is the problem. I tested out each memory slot, and DDR2 + DDR4 do not work. My system won't post when there is memory in those slots. However, when I place memory in DDR1 and DDR3, my system works fine. So, I have only 2 out of 4 working slots  This stinks because I can't have a duel config. Tsk, Tsk, Gigabyte.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 6, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 6, 2004 I would agree, but if you have a 90Nm CPU you might check for the latest bios first.
