tpdean
I've got a pair of Corsair CMX512-3200C2 memory sticks that absolutely refuse to work together in dual-channel mode. I've tested these sticks in both an Asus A8V Deluxe and MSI K8N Neo Platinum 2 motherboard and they act the same way in both mobos. I can get one stick at a time to work in each motherboard, but not simultaneously. I've examined each of the sticks and one is marked "rev. 1.1" and the other is marked "rev. 3.1". Is this why they won't work together? Is there anything I can do? I made sure that I purchased the exact same Corsair part numbers for the memory sticks, but didn't realize there would be different hardware revisions that would prevent these from working in my dual-channel motherboard... CMC_SAVAGE
Try settimg the timings manually to 2.5-3-3-6 in the BIOS and bumping the dimm voltage to 2.7. If the CAS Latency of 2.5 don't work try 3.

If the CAS Latency of 2.5 don't work try 3. I tried nailing up the timings/voltage in the BIOS like you suggested. It didn't change anything. The sticks still act the exact same way. CMC_SAVAGE
Maybe 2.5-3-3-7 or 8. Dimm voltage to 2.8. These are fairly relaxed timings. You could try clearing the CMOS also. If they still don't work together it could be a MOBO limitation with the mixed revisions. You may have to get 2 of the "same " exact sticks. You think Corsair would let me exchange either of the sticks for one with a matching revision? I think I need either two "ver 1.1" sticks or two "ver 3.1" sticks..
