Sugoi
Hi, Due to a problem with my current mobo I'm getting me a new one; The Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe. In my previous motherboard I had Twinx1024-3200 memory (cas 3-3-3-8). However I can't find out if this memory is compatible with that Asus board. Asus nor Corsair provide this information. Corsair by the way doesn't provide any information about the compatibility of this set of modules or at least I can't find it. The only thing I can find is that this set has JEDEC specifications but I don't think that this means that it's compatible with round about every mobo out there. Please help me out! Sugoi edit: I forgot, it's supposed to run in Dual-Channel mode
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 1, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 1, 2004 Yes these modules are indeed compatible with this MB. Just use slots 2-3 and set the Memory Frequency to 100% at 2.7 Volts and you should not have any problems.
Sugoi
Thanks for the quick response! I'll do this. Can you explain why you need to use slots 2 and 3 and not 1 and 3? I thought it should work as long as you use (in simple terms) the different coloured slot...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 1, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 1, 2004 LOL, well you are welcome to try what ever you like, but I have had 4 of this exact model and that suggestion was from personal experience with this MB.
