CyberTechSystem
I have what is supposed to be a 1gb corsair memory stick that is bad, but im having trouble finding out which type of corsair it is. The only markings on it are 50-00109 Rev. A Corsair. There is a ThermalTake memory cooler attached, so i cannot see the print on the chips. Any suggestions? Need to get this replaced ASAP if possible. Thanks Z.
Wired
Eep, sounds like the heat spreaders were removed (assuming it's an XMS stick), which generally isn't covered under the warranty. Not sure what the warranty is concerning VS chips with heat spreaders placed onto them. I'd run a program like Everest or CPU-Z, they may be able to tell you what's on the SPD of the chip itself. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 30, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 30, 2004 Yes, please use everest and see what's in the SPD. Or do you have your invoice?
CyberTechSystem
i don't think this memory is XMS, it is about 3 maybe 4 years old. The only identifying marks where in my first post. I will try what you suggested and post the results. z.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 2, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 2, 2004 Try http://www.lavalys.com/ for Everest and if the module will not post in your system, do you have the invoice where you purchased it?
