bad ram stick

Recommended Posts

I have what is supposed to be a 1gb corsair memory stick that is bad, but im having trouble finding out which type of corsair it is.

The only markings on it are 50-00109 Rev. A Corsair.

There is a ThermalTake memory cooler attached, so i cannot see the print on the chips.

Any suggestions? Need to get this replaced ASAP if possible.

Thanks

Z.

Eep, sounds like the heat spreaders were removed (assuming it's an XMS stick), which generally isn't covered under the warranty. Not sure what the warranty is concerning VS chips with heat spreaders placed onto them.

I'd run a program like Everest or CPU-Z, they may be able to tell you what's on the SPD of the chip itself.
