Gambit Posted November 29, 2004 Share Posted November 29, 2004 hi all, mainboard : asus a8v deluxe (bios version 1008) cpu : amd 64 3000+ (winchester) ram : corsair cmx512 3200c2 got a big problem with this system. anytime i try to open for example 2 ie windows it breaks down. its no reset, cause it didnt start up again, if i start it new a few mins later crash again..... sticks a in bank 1 and 3, several timing combinations . 2,5-3-3-8 | 2,5-3-3-6 | 3,0-3-3-8 | 3,0-3-3-8 no chance... git no errors with memtest 86 in this combinations, but system breaks ;( tried ram voltage 2,6 and 2,7 ... no success again maybe something wrong wirh my cpu ? any suggestions ? thx Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wired Posted November 29, 2004 Share Posted November 29, 2004 Try updating your BIOS. Those new 90 nm cores require BIOS updates to the board to get stable. That BIOS should support it fine acording to their site, however they already have 2 new beta BIOS's out: 1009.002 and 1009.003. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
