snakebiteuk35
Hi all Is it time to change my memory 1GB XMS 3500 i have been trying to run some benchmarks but if i try to run my system at 10 X 250HTT ( 800 ) memory @ 8,3,3,2.5 1T gives me 28k 12 X 217HTT ( 1000) memory @ 6,2,2,2 1T gives me 30K If it is the memory holding me back from higher FSB what would be the best memory to go for im going to be getting the FX 57 and the DFI 939 pin mother board when they are released PLEASE I NEED ADVICE

Yellowbeard
Hi all Is it time to change my memory 1GB XMS 3500 i have been trying to run some benchmarks but if i try to run my system at 10 X 250HTT ( 800 ) memory @ 8,3,3,2.5 1T gives me 28k 12 X 217HTT ( 1000) memory @ 6,2,2,2 1T gives me 30K If it is the memory holding me back from higher FSB what would be the best memory to go for im going to be getting the FX 57 and the DFI 939 pin mother board when they are released PLEASE I NEED ADVICE The scores above make sense as your benchmark appears to be memory specific. The lower latencies of the first setting make up for the faster CPU speed on the first setting of 10 x 250. If you really want to keep the FSB in synch with the CPU and get a fast 1:1 OC, I'd suggest the PC4400C2.5. The 939 stuff is new to me and RAM GUY can give a much more technical and explanatory answer. If you want more info, he'll breeze thru here soon. Mike.
