Longun
I am using an Abit NF7-S version 2 mobo with a XP3200 CPU I have two 512MB sticks of Corsair PC3200 Cas2 ram Because these sticks were not brought as a matched pair the mobo will only run them at DDR333 speed although it will run them in Dual Channel Mode. Is there any way I can force the mobo to run them at DDR400 speed therefore in sync with the CPU speed? If this is not possible, would fitting a pair of matched PC3200 sticks make any difference performance wise? Many thanks Longun

Longun
OK both sticks are CMX512-3200C2PT one stick is XMS3202v1.2 0350100 the other is XMS3202v1.1 023831 Thanks Longun
Wired
That may be the reason. You may be able to force it, not quite sure though.
Longun
Does anybody know if the ram can be forced to run at DDR400 if so how? Othewise what performance gain would I get by fitting a matched pair of PC3200 ? Thanks Longun
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 30, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 30, 2004 You should be able to set the memory frequency in the bios and normally this would be set to 100% so it is in sync with your CPU. Please check your manual for the exact settings to change or contact the MB maker.
