Shuttle SB61G2 v3 incompatible with TWINX1024-3200XL & TWINX512-3200XL

Initially I bought a TWINX1024-3200XL. The 2-2-2-5 advertized timing has errors when tested with memtest86 v3.2. Loosening timing to 2-3-2-6 did not help. Timing at 3-3-3-8 tested OK so nothing wrong with RAM or my MB. BIOS setting set to defaults (all "performance options" disabled), Vdimm at 2.75V (maxed) and no overclocking.

I then bought a TWINX512-3200XL. Again, the 2-2-2-5 advertized timing has errors when tested with memtest86 v3.2. Loosening timing to 2-3-2-6 did not help. Timing at 3-3-3-8 tested OK so nothing wrong with RAM or my MB. BIOS setting set to defaults (all "performance options" disabled), Vdimm at 2.75V (maxed) and no overclocking.

I have since returned both RAM kits. I'm a big fan of Corsair but I'm disappointed this time, I wasted 2 weeks troubleshooting my system and waiting for returns. I'm now using Crucial Ballistix 2-2-2-5 @ 2.75V without any error after 8 hours (30 passes) of memtest86 v3.2.

My conclusion: Shuttle SB61G2 v3 is not compatible with TWINX1024-3200XL & TWINX512-3200XL even though it's stated as compatible with my system http://compatible.corsairmemory.com/

First off I am sorry that you had a problem with our memory, and I would have liked to seen your modules. But since you no longer have the modules it will be hard to try and troubleshoot. At any rate we will take a look at this system and test with our modules to see if there anything that we can do. However, most likely this type of issue would need to be addressed with the system maker. Again, sorry for the trouble and I am glad you are up and running.
