dkandor
I just finished putting my system together and I believe that a stick in my matched set is bad. Here are the basics, at least, of my system: Gigabyte GA-8ANXP-D motherboard P4 3.0GHz, 800MHz FSB proc XMS2 1GB(2x512) DDR2 5400C4PRO memory 4 x 36GB Western Digital Raptor harddrives etc... In any case, upon booting up for the first time, POST only reports 512MB of memory. I can see the LEDs on one stick light up and report activity, but the other only briefly lights and then there is nothing from it again. I've tried swapping the modules and have had the same results. The defective module doesn't work regardless of the memory slot that I install it in. I have not yet submitted an RMA since I wanted to check here first. Does this seem reasonable that I have a bad module?

dkandor
I went ahead and requested an RMA from Newegg.com. They were kind enough to approve it, so I shipped off my modules to them. Hopefully I'll get them back soon. Thanks again!
