Zacrobmer
I believe I have a bad memory module, I'm having lock up problems with my computer, when I run memTest it never ticks past 20% and usually stops at 17%.... I've tried the following to remedy this..... -swapped modules in their slots -changed from dual to single mode (from channel AB to AA) -used SPD setting in BIOS -manually set timings (2-2-2-5) -and finally swapped out with an old set of Kingston DDR333 (which I really don't like, I prefer Corsair). But this worked fine I have no stability problems and can run 350%+ on memTest with no problems. So I believe the problem is a bad module..... and would like to RMA my RAM... Oh and my system is as follows...... MSI Neo2 Platinum AMD 64 3800+ BFG Geforce 6800GT OC Its all water cooled with great airflow (nothing is overclocked I water cooled for the silence). Thanks and look forward to your reply.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 28, 2004 Please try and set the TRCD Rass to Cass to 3 and I would try the modules in slots 3-4 with the Dim Voltage set to 2.8 Volts. In addition, you might try MSI's user forum and get the latest beta bios as well.
