Scorpius
This module has been working fine (one of two matching sticks in a dual channel setup) since I bought it from newegg.com back on 2/4/2003. Memtest86 definitely shows an area in the 30.6MB range of the memory. It causes any PC with the module to installed to stall during bootup. I am posting this simply to receive an RMA number. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 28, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 28, 2004 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have and the CPU speed and its FSB? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you had set for both CPU and memory!
Scorpius
I have tried this module in two different Abit NF7-S V2.0, Abit AN7, Shuttle AN35N, and Soyo KT333 Dragon Plus. The FSB setting does not matter. It fails at 100, 133, 166, and 200MHz and any bios setting (optimal, SPD, expert, you name it). The CPU varies in each motherboard, but since the Athlon XP 2500+ in the NF7's are unlocked I tried anywhere from 1.5GHz to 2.1GHz. The same result occurs and that is that with this module installed, any PC can not completely boot up. Any other questions before I can receive an RMA #? Scorpius
RamGuy, I filled out the online form for an RMA number 48hours ago and have not yet received a response. There was no kind of confirmation number or automated email even saying you received the form. How long do I wait before submitting another RMA form? Thanks, Gareth
