Shogun24
Hey everyone. I have 2 questions, and I apologize for them being "newbish." 1. Will the memory mentioned in the title, TWINX1024-3200C2PT, work in dual channel without any trouble for the Athlon 64 939 mobos? 2. I have heard that CAS 2 memory will not work with Athlon 64s...that it has to be CAS 2.5? If that is true....will these sticks that are rated at CAS 2 automatically clock to 2.5 once i use them on the Athlon mobo or will I have to set something in the BIOS to make them change to that speed? Thanks for your responses.
CMC_SAVAGE
The 3200C2's are rated CAS 2 for Intel and 2.5 for AMD systems. This is due to a IC change in the modules awhile ago. The MOBO will load the default SPD automatically. No need to adjust anything. You could also go with the 3200LL: 2-3-2-6 or the 3200XL: 2-2-2-5. These modules will run the rated SPD in a AMD system. Shogun24
Thank you for your response. That is good news. So the model I had in mind and the two you suggested...they are both pretty stable?
