Nintenrax
Hi. It seems that I don't have the flicker problems but instead the colors seem faded, even compared to my M65 RGB. At first I said OK, leave it as it is, but now I just bought the M65 RGB and this one has a real Blue color. I usually use the Blue color to match the theme of my PC, and comparing the K70 to the mouse or the Blue LEDs from my PC, the keyboard's blue seems less vivid, tends to be a little wither. Sorry for my bad explanation. And this is not the only color with problems, but using Blue as a general theme is easily to notice the difference. After paying allot of money for this KB I'm kind of disappointed. Unfortunately I don't have a good camera that would capture the color difference. I previously owned the first K70 KB, the silver one, with blue LEDs, and those were truly the right kind of Blue, apart for being allot brighter than the ones from the RGB version. If the M65 had the same Blue tint, I could have said that it was a general thing, but the difference is easily noticeable. I'm even thinking of returning it, but here in Romania, the store will not help with "small" problems like this. This may be a stupid question and I in no means intend to offend you, but is your brightness level turned al the way up?
Azreil24
This may be a stupid question and I in no means intend to offend you, but is your brightness level turned al the way up? Don't worry, I understand why you ask that, having in mind the things you can read on the net :) And yes, I always have it set to max brightness. On the old K70 I used the lowest brightness setting and still looked better and more vivid than the max level on my RGB version. I wish at least that the blue was like the one from my new M65, not like a bluish like light. This image helps me a bit in picturing how i find the K70 RGB (Left) vs the M65 RGB blue (Right) tint. No matter what I do I can't get the KB to look like the mouse, even tough I use the same color setting for both of them.

It is not an overly bright key board like one of its competition. It looks much better in a darkened room.
Azreil24
I was getting used to it, but now, after just getting the M65, disappointment returned, especially in a dark room. I don't want the keyboard to be brighter, but to have a deep blue, just like the M65 and my old K70. I payed 200 euros for this keyboard just to get washed out colors... The 16.8m color mode might help if you're just using static lighting.

Paul S
Going back to the LED thing and variants in tint/hue on certain keys, it seems the problem is not actually the led but the LED's Lens there are 3 keys on mine that show very pink instead of white i took the keycap off and discovered that the lens was magnifying the red slightly more, so a simple fix is to get a fine point permanent green marker and on the left hand side of the lens put a small dab of pen ink on the lens, (very small dab) now the keys are showing perfect white like the rest. All ok now and look perfect and balanced.
Paul S
It is not an overly bright key board like one of its competition. It looks much better in a darkened room. Correct, and that is the whole point of led keyboards, the lights are there to be used in darkness
Inheritance
Correct, and that is the whole point of led keyboards, the lights are there to be used in darkness if your in a dark room the lights can be dimmer since their the only source of light. Its when your in a bright place that you want brighter LED.
remilton
The whole point of led keyboards is to allow you to play games in the dark. It greatly increases immersion. Besides looking really pretty! duh!

bobby3605
From what I've read the flickering with 16.8 million colors sounds like a limitation with the controller in the keyboard. Could everything be processed on the computer and not the keyboard to fix the issue?

bobby3605
I'm not justifying needing to use the computer to process the colors on a $160 keyboard but if it can fix the flickering I would go for it
terabyte
The issue is with the LED controller, you can't replace that with the computer cpu.
Riekopo
I would like to know if and when a fully working version two of the RGB keyboards will be released? I expect Corsair to offer a free exchange or large discount and exchange for owners of the defective first version of these keyboards. That will determine if I ever buy another Corsair product again. terabyte
There is no news of any new/improved RGB keyboard so far, and I really doubt they will offer a free exchange for current owners. At least that's my opinion.

There isnt going to be a large discount or replacement, Technobeard has said this himself. And since you can return them right now those asking for a replacement are jsut trying to get a free keyboard or know there isnt a better option on the market. Administrators Technobeard Posted June 22, 2015 Administrators Share Posted June 22, 2015 This is great news, that a v2 is coming! To be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR - I did NOT say a V2 was coming, nor has anyone else at Corsair. I generally find out about new products when the press release comes out, so if you ever hear someone say that I of all people mentioned a new product and there hasn't been some type of press release or a product page already on the website, they're completely wrong. idlikemymoney3
How to do refunds the Corsair way: Customer: I paid $232 for your keyboard. Corsair: Send us the keyboard and we'll refund you. Customer: Shipping was an additional $18. Corsair: Enjoy your refund of $189.99.

terabyte
Well, $232 is not the MSRP price so you really can't expect Corsair to refund more than what they sell it for. If other sellers overcharge there's nothing they can do.
Jkraghify
I prefer to deal directly with corsair for that reason. I love their costumer support. Can't say that about Newegg or frys really... Though its fun to walk around in frys. I make too many impulse buys when the tech is right in front of me like that though :P
idlikemymoney3
"Corsair to refund the price paid less a usage fee of 10% of the purchase price for each year since the date of purchase." So that's their explanation? I left them this little message: $232 minus 10% equals $209, not $190. Doesn't it? Of course that doesn't mean that I'd accept $209. That "usage time" you are now deducting money for is the time I waited for you to deliver the product you advertised. I waited for you to fix the problem instead of returning it right away. I began the refund process only after you announced that you weren't able to fix it. Now I get punished because I waited for you? What does the usage level matter anyway? It's an used QWERTZ keyboard with a defective LED in a QWERTY country. My guess is that you're scrapping it. I doubt it is ever going to be salvaged or repaired, refurbished and resold. Also at no point you or anyone else said a word about not intending to refund the full amount (in fact only 76% of my expenses). Surely you looked at my invoice and must have noticed that the price I paid doesn't remotely equal your refund intentions. Why didn't you point that out before I shipped the keyboard? I also have to bring up again that you, plain and simple, lied with your advertising. Not even your CEO is denying that. So even with the usage fee paragraph in place one would think that you, out of decency, would ignore the fee. But maybe I'm missing something. I bought one of your products and now I don't have that product anymore, as well as $60. What did I do wrong again (except believing your advertisement)? What is preventing me from getting the "full refund" Corsair James offered? http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showpost.php?p=761230&postcount=548 At least in my country a full refund would cover the full purchase price, payment fees and shipping fees (both ways). I'm taking bets on whether or not they go into "la la la can't hear you la la la" mode. I'm assuming you got a K95? Correct. Well, $232 is not the MSRP price so you really can't expect Corsair to refund more than what they sell it for. If other sellers overcharge there's nothing they can do. Converted from €208, which was in fact the cheapest price at the time of purchase. Even now the price is still €200/$223.
