Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 24, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 24, 2004 The memory requirement for this MB would be exactly the same as the non -E version of this MB. So VS1GBkit533D2 or VS2GBKit533D2 as a Value choice or if you want to over clock Twinx1024-5400C4 for the over clocking and if you do not plan on over clocking the frequency but want a bit more performance I would suggest Twinx1024-4300C3! yoonzoo
Has Corsair tested above mention memory modules w/ P5AD2-E?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted November 24, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted November 24, 2004 No, we have not tested this specific model of MB. However there is no major difference between this version and the non -E version other than basic options. And the MB should perform the same. Realistically it would be close to impossible to purchase every MB model a given MB maker produces and do compatibility testing. ASUS for example has about 40-70 models in production at any given time and there are more than two dozen other MB makers.
JackNaylorPE
N However there is no major difference between this version and the non -E version other than basic options. Well there's a 1066 FSB offering which is hardly "basic" <grin>. I think the major question is, considering the heat generated by these Prescott's is how high can we go with the 5400's ? Enough to offset the lower latency of the 4300's ??? Jack
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 8, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 8, 2004 Jack, That is a hard question to answer because there are just too many variables. I would just get the best cooling you can afford and then try and or test your system with http://www.memtest.org and play with the settings to get the best performance.
