mogman42
Recently I built a new system with the following parts: Abit IC7-Max3 bios ver 1.7 Corsair 1GB TWINX1024-4400C25 Tagan 480watt power supply Intel P4 3.2Ghz Northwood 16x200 I am having issues getting the memory/system to run reliably above 200mhz (DDR400). I've tried the appropriate dividers to leave the CPU stock while raising the memory to 250 and 275 respectively @ 2.8v The system will boot with the following settings but reboots after the windows splash screen. 4:5 ratio 200/250 CPU default voltage Mem voltage 2.8 no setting for 2.75 Mem timings set by SPD are @ the approved 2.5-4-4-8 I tried running Memtest86+ v1.30 will the following options Test All Memory Extended Tests On test 8 I received 4110 errors. I rebooted with one stick @ a time and tried to duplicate the error, but have been unable to duplicate with either stick. However, I still cannot get the memory to run anywhere close to its rated speed. Please help! :[pouts:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 24, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 24, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-4400C25 Softmenu Setup: CPU Freq: 200 (enable for you to run this module at 500MHz you will have to set your CPU at 250 or 275 for 550MHz.) DRAM Clock: 400 MHz CPU/DRAM ratio: 1:1 Memory or Dim Reference voltage: 2.85 Volts System performance: Standard AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* Advanced/Chipset Configure Dram timing by SPD: Disabled/User define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 4T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 4T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 8T USB Legacy Support: Disabled All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
