twilkes
i just bought all new parts to build a new computer. i am running on a abit kv8 pro, 2 wd raptor hard drives in raid 0 and 1 gig corsair xms. i bought the matched set of twinx1024-3200xl. i was using a asus mobo and having problems, thought the problems could have been caused by the mobo and compatability issues so traded it in for abit board. still had problems and time ran out on my warranty from newegg. i am receiving many bsod errors most of them are Page Fault in Nonpaged Area, PFN LIST CORRUPT, or IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL. i have run memtest on my computer and it did show errors with my memory. i need help and was told this is what i had to do if i was going to try to get warranty help on the product so please help me
Wired
SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T Try those timings, with a memory voltage of 2.75 or 2.8v
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 22, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 22, 2004 Please put the memory module on slot 1 & 3; make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB, and set the following settings on your BIOS; Advanced Chipset: Memclock Mode: Limit Memclock Value: 2:1 (DDR400) Bank Interleaving: 4/Enabled Burst Length: 4 SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T Hypertransport: 4X Jumper Free/Frequency Voltage Control: Spread Spectrum: Enabled CPU FSB Clock: 200 DDR Voltage: 2.7/2.75 Volts All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 23, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 23, 2004 Incorrect BIOS settings will cause/generate errors on memtest, since it is not running at its specified/rated speed.
