CrazyGuy
I hate to be that guy, but this issue is well over a year old and its still not fixed yet, are you going to fix it corsair? Or do we have to look elsewhere for a properly functioning product? The whole reason I purchased the commander mini was the ability to set custom curves for my pwm fans AND have a RGB led strip, not one or the other. Revelation323
I have the same issue still with my LED's blinking randomly a few times a minute. I bought the commander mini as the PWM control, power supply link and LED control seemed to be the best out there. Since i bought it, i have had issues with the LED's and several firmware revisions later the issue is still not resolved. Any idea when it will be fixed. Looks like the issue was raised first on this thread on 02-02-2015. We are almost 2 years since then. Thats pretty terrible by anyones standards. I am at the point of looking for another controller which is not awesome after spending my money on a powers supply , fan controller and LED strips only to have them not work as intended and no solution provided by the vendor. If i do change i will be hitting up Corsair for a full refund on all products regardless of warranty period. Hoping for a solution, but not holding my breath considering the lack of interest by Corsair.....
CrazyGuy
I just keep my LED strip turned off at this point, does anyone know if this issue has been fixed yet?
leBasher
Well, nearly two years after this issue was reported, this still hasn't been fixed. I invested heavily in the Corsair eco system, and there has been issue after issue. But to not fix such a basic problem as a blinking LED, when literally every other manufacturer can get this right, is utterly bonkers. Please fix this issue, because I am very much on the verge of getting rid of every ounce of Corsair gear I own and buying from a more reputable provider. I am so disgusted with Corsair's blatant disregard for their customers, I haven't felt this level of disgust for any other brand, ever. In any sector. In any sector. +1. Corsair just don't seem to care and suggest you log an incident via https://corsair.secure.force.com/home/home.jsp as see what excuses they come up with. The CL Mini also has the http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=742713 issue which has been outstanding for over two years.

its_Tricky83
Just got a CORSAIR LINK COMMANDER MINI + CORSAIR LINK RGB LED STRIPS, and I am getting the bright white blink every 10 seconds or so. As well as two of the LED's not actually lighting up the right colors. I'll play around with the settings a heap more but I really wanted this to work as advertised so I had changing LEDS to notify me of component temperatures. Pretty disappointing tbh. red-ray
You should specify the CL4 version and add your PC specs to your profile as this makes it easier/possible to help you. I am getting the bright white blink every 10 seconds or so. I suspect this is a slightly different issue and started with CL 4.3.0.154, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=872567. Pretty disappointing tbh. I feel Corsair lack professional diligence and excel at disappointing Corsair Link customers. This is a known issue with a fix coming. CL4 is so poor I totally gave up on it and use my own software.
hypeber
I just got this mini commander yesterday. It was working fine until tonight and it starts flicker. Started to search online and found this post and notice it has not been fix for 2 year. Anyway the only way to stop the flicker is either uninstall the program after setting the led stripe or use default. I can not even use other modes without the flicker, only default works for me sadly.
hypeber
i have no problem with default but the only problem is my new ML120 for the rear is 2400 rpm by defaultt.

red-ray
The flicker problem still happens. I have a new commander mini and the latest Link software. The firmware needs to be updated to address this. Corsair have been saying it will be fixed for over 24 months, but have failed to deliver . CL4 can't even load new firmware into a CL Mini so you have to use CL3 :(:. Does you CL Mini have the 1.1.6 firmware? The 1.1.6 firmware was released in late 2014 before the issue was well known. This is a known issue with a fix coming.I believe it requires a firmware update to be corrected. It should be in the next Corsair Link drop, or the one after.Unfortunately, as far as I know we're still waiting on a firmware fix for the Commander Mini. I wish I had better news for you. It's unfortunately a firmware issue with the Commander Mini and the firmware has been difficult for us to fix. kopes
My mini is on the 1.1.6 firmware. Do all firmware versions have this problem? It seems like it works fine when CL4 is closed, as others has pointed out. Still, I think this bug should be fixed.
red-ray
My CL mini is on the 1.1.6 firmware. Do all firmware versions have this problem? That is what I expected. I suspect so, but don't really know. I think all my CLCCs came with 1.1.4, but I upgraded then to 1.1.6 back in late 2014 and as CL3 never shipped with the 1.1.4 firmware I can't check if 1.1.4 had the issue. The 1.1.5 firmware totally failed to report any temperatures, but I guess you could try that, but you would need to use CL 3.2.5742 for the firmware change. I suspect finding them all could be tricky so I attached them. I also found 1.1.0, but have no idea how good/bad that is.Firmware.zip
Velkro
It has been stated the LED flickering issue only happens when custom curves are set. I have no customer curves set, all fans are set to "quiet" profile and I still have the flickering issue. Is there anything else recommended I should check? Corsair, is there an ETA on resolution to this multi-year old issue?

Corsair, is there an ETA on resolution to this multi-year old issue? The blinking happens with any curve, custom or built-in. It's when the fan speed changes that the LEDs blink. Afaik, the only way to avoid it is a static fan speed. I'd also like it to go away, but that's the way around it.

Wow, I bet this is their fix, a new product!!! http://www.corsair.com/en-us/corsair-lighting-node-pro Looks like its an extension of the Commander Mini and another 60 freaking bucks. At least you get better controls over HD120 fans.
snapper69
I'm guessing that this has still not been fixed, which is rather annoying, as I had forgotten about this thread when I ordered 2 sets of the led strips, thinking that I could control them with my Mini. Does the new Pro work ok or are there any "quirks" with that?
red-ray
Does the new Pro work ok or are there any "quirks" with that? Firstly the CLCP uses 5 volt rather then 12 volt LED strips and the silly thing is the only way to currently get then is to get a CLNP :[pouts:. As for issues the CLCP seems to be fussy about fans, see http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?p=907101 and the earlier posts.
snapper69
Looks like I'm scuppered then, if the CLCP won't run the older LED's and the mini won't run 4 strips daisychained together, my only chance is to try to get another mini, and they seem about as easy to get as rocking horse manure.
