a7upspot
Help, I am getting a "Chip Kill ECC error" with the following system; MSI K1-1000S2 (MS-9245) 2 - Corsair Register ECC DDR 1024MB CM74SD1024RLP-2700/S I believe that one of the memory modules is bad! I have installed the two memory modules in two different MSI K1-1000 systems with the same error. The company I purchased the modules from has checked them in a Xenon system running windows XP with no problems. MSI's website http://cweb.msi.com.tw/program/products/server/svr/pro_svr_rcm.php?UID=510 list this module as the correct module for the system, please help resolve this problem. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2004 Please test the module one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure! If you get an error during the testing, then there is no point going any further on the test; I would suggest we get it replace. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
