bo1nk Posted November 17, 2004 Share Posted November 17, 2004 Okay I have bought a cosair cmx512-4000 mem 4 mths back and recently bought another one just 2 days ago.. i ran cpu z and noticed that the one i bought round 4 mths back is missing some mhz. the cmx512-4000 freq is 232 when its supose to be 250mhz. and the new ones timing is 3,4,4,10?? its states on the info sheet 3,4,4,8? Is this under warranty!? I did state 500 mhz right? thats 250 each correct? and I dont think theres a corsair for pc3700 for pro? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2004 The module that you have that is reading the incorrect information is most likely the first revision of our 4000 modules, that during the time of release the official 4000 JEDEC spec wasn't officially released yet, so we used the PC3700 ID but it is actually running and can perform without any problem on DDR500 which is PC4000. If you still wanted it to be replace then please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
