KaptCrunch
how about Geo-cooling, really cheap just the power of the pump. make a copper coil fitted in a stainless steel sealed box filled with Propylene Glycol, dig a 3meter deep hole or stainless steel coil down in water well, Pro's: true silent cooler, cheap to operate Con's: lots of tubing an shielding, out cost big
Tulatin
*shrugs* feasable but not practical. You'll need a monser pump like a 1260 to suck water like that. Come to think of it, the guy at zero fan zone (http://www.zerofanzone.com) did this i think with an 8 litre propane tank a few feet underground. MGCJerry
Oddly enough, I've thought of doing this... The tubing cost, and work involved put me off of doing it though. I was really considering it because the place I'm at lacks an A/C. :(
