Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2004 All you can do is just try it. It might work and then again it might not. But I would suggest you set the FSB Jumper to pins 2-3 as well.
kurfurst4
Pins 2-3 are jumped as stated...I ran memtest on one module in bank A1 for 10 passes and no errors...them I ran the same one in bank B1 for 10 passes and no errors..then I ran the second module in bank A1 for 10 passes and no errors and also in B1 for 10 passes with no errors...so why when I put both on A1 and B1 for dual channel, I get 8 errors in 3 passes...all of this with the same settings...??
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2004 Please try them with the modules in slots 2-3 and set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and see if you still get errors if you have not done so. kurfurst4
thats funny, I get more errors now than at a higher voltage....14 on the first pass at 2.7v....thought more volts increased the stability......
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2004 Sorry but again our VS512MB400 is only rated at DDR400 with a 2.5/3/3/8 setting, so running at 217 which is DDR 434 speed with a 2.5/3/3/7 setting is well beyond/above the rated speed.
