amit.anand
Dear Ram Guy. I have a x2 512 2700LLPT Platinum series corsair memory modules. They are 1 year and 4 months old. One of the modules casues the system to reset, crash out of games giving me genral protection faults and blue screen of death. I have crossed refrenced the error id's with the microsoft knowledge base its states that the memory could be at fault. Iv tested both modules sepretly and in other systems , every time i put the faulty one in the systems become unstable. Please could you help and tell me if this is covered by warranty and if i can get corsair to directly replace it or if i need to send it to you for testing or repair. I need this to be sorted out as im a 16+hrs user and depend on my system for work. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 16, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 16, 2004 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-2700LL Advanced Chipset Features (Ctrl + F1) DRAM Clock: 333 MHz Configure Dram timing by SPD: Disabled/User define SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T SDRAM Burst Length: 8 SDRAM Bank Interleave: 4/Auto/Enabled SDRAM Command Rate: 1T Frequency Voltage Control CPU Freq: 200 Memory or Dim Reference voltage: 2.7/2.75 Volts (+.2) AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI 9200 or 9600 then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
