coolit
Hello, Having problems with one module of a matched memory pair I purchased in March. I've recently been getting corrupt files and games crashing in windows. Thought it must be bad RAM so tested both modules seperately with memtest and prime95. The one module runs the tests fine. The other fails both tests almost immediately (Within 10 mins). Specs-> 1GB DDR XMS3200LLPT TwinX (2x512) Athlon 64 3200 (Socket 754) Asus K8V SE Deluxe Radeon 9800 Pro RAM @ 2.7 volts AGP @ 1.5 volts CPU @ 3.75 volts DDR limit is set to 2:1 (ddr:fsb) fsb @200, multiplier @10 Latest Bios. Everything at stock with mem timings at 2-3-2-6. Tried looser timings... no luck. Any help would be great. Cheers,
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 15, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 15, 2004 Please put the memory module on slot 1 & 3; make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB, and set the following settings on your BIOS; TwinX512 or TwinX1024-3200C2 Advanced Chipset: Memclock Mode: Limit Memclock Value: 2:1 (DDR400) Bank Interleaving: 4/Enabled Burst Length: 4 SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T Hypertransport: 4X Jumper Free/Frequency Voltage Control: Spread Spectrum: Enabled CPU FSB Clock: 200 DDR Voltage: 2.7/2.75 Volts All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
