Taodragon00
I have my 2 x 36GB Raptor drives installed on the 1st 2 channels of the SI SATA ports (bottom 4 of the board). Everything was working fine, I installed another 120GB drive, put some stuff on it for a friend and took it out. Now my machine doesn't see one of the raptor drives (which I had in a Raid 0). No matter what channel I put the drive that's not being seen, it won't work. Now if I put the supposed "bad drive" on the OnChip Intel SATA, it see's both drives. Now what is going on there? I've tried resetting the bios numerous times, I am going to try to reflash the bios... I am out of all ideas. I don't want to move to the Intel SATA and lose my RAID setup because I will lose a lot of stuff. Want to try to get the OnBoard SATA recognizing the drive again. Any ideas? Yellowbeard
Hello my friend, did you ever resolve this? :D: Mike.
Taodragon00
Not really. I lost a drive. The ICH5R recognized the drives but no array. I recreated the array (16k stripe)... tried to install windows... errord during the install (during format). Took out the "bad drive" retried... and tada. Going to RMA the drive because its not even a year old and they have 5yr warranties i believe.
Yellowbeard
That's probably the best idea. But, before you stick it in the mail, you should try their drive diagnostics on it. Did you lose all of your data or were you able to get a DOS utility to access it? Mike.
