Greetings Community,

Quick question regarding my H80i water block. On the same side as where the micro usb cable connects theres a small opening see photo below.

What i would like to know is if its safe to place a temp probe that came with my motherboard inside this hole for heat monitoring or could it cause problems.

Your thoughts are welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Martin

The H80i already has a temperature sensor for the coolant if that is what you want to monitor. It can be seen using the LINK software with the H80i connected to the computer via a USB cable.

I wouldn't suggest putting a probe into the hole. I think its the fill hole during the manufacturing but im taking a guess. You can alternatively stick the probe next to the block if you want to.

LOL telling me not to stick anything in that hole is like telling a child not to touch that priceless relic sitting on the mantle piece,

I AM DRAWN TO IT LIKE A MOTH TO A FLAME :naughty:

Just joking, but if you have some insight into why i should keep that space clear i wouldnt mind knowing for future reference here and for the community :)

Thanks
