gse4me
Hello, I just upgraded my old corsair tx650 psu to a hx750i. It seems that Corsair Link only reports "power in" and "efficiency" as "0" for me. The psu is connected directly to the motherboards internal usb header. Is this a known issue? Any thoughts on how to solve it? Btw, I do not have installed other corsair products that could interfere with the software. Thank you, Vlad
Toasted
It seems the LINK software is not detecting the HXi PSU as it is not reading anything. Give the Windows 8.1 registry fix a go but you will need to find out the hardware id for the HXi PSU. In order to do this, the hardware id can be found in Device Manager. With the hardware id available, you can then edit some entries to disable 8.1's USB power saving features. The registry fix can be found here in the forums. Specter
You should be able to disable the power settings in the power options without messing with the registry. Im currently on 8.1 and never had this issue, this may be a problem with newer motherboards. Currently im on a Z77 board. Also try posting screenshots of what your Link software looks like
gse4me
Hello, Thanks for the replies. I edited the power settings in the power options menu but without success. I will also try the registry fix. Here is a print of my CL window: Thanks, Vlad
gse4me
The PSU led is blinking (red/green) when CL is opened btw.
Toasted
This might help as well Known Issues On certain Intel motherboards (Z87/Z97) that use the Intel USB 3.0 drivers it is necessary to change the “Legacy USB Support” to Disabled in BIOS for detection of the H80i/H100i/Commander units. gse4me
Hello guys, I've tried the following without success: -disabling legacy USB support from BIOS -the registry fix -changing to another USB heather on the MB -some older versions of CL Pretty interesting is that CL can identify the PSU: I also don't understand why I can see "power out" and not "power in". Isn't the "power out" also read from the PSU? I can only assume the software is not fully compatible yet to this PSU series. Any thoughts? Thanks, Vlad
Toasted
Open Device Manager, right click the unknown device>properties. What does the status message say? Its probably the drivers that are missing which is causing your issue.
Maza
I have also similar problems with my new AX860i. Power readings are strange and no efficiency shown. - Corsair link software 2.7.5361 - USB selective suspend disabled (Win8.1 64bit) - disabled legacy USB support from BIOS (ASUS Z97 Maximus VII HERO) - attached picture from power readings and devices. Whats wrong? Any ideas?
Y-Fritz
Hi, I had the same issue and Support gave me the following advice. If you are using 2.7.5361, revert to 2.7.5339: - Uninstall the Corsair Link software and Link USB dongle through Windows Control Panel - Go to file explorer, enable "Show hidden files, folder and drives" - Delete the following directory: C:\Users\"System name"\AppData\Roaming\Corsair - OPTIONAL run a registry cleaning software such as CCleaner - Restart your system - Install the new Corsair Link software http://softwaredownloads.corsair.com/Files/Corsair-Link/CorsairLink_Installer_RC_v2.7.5339.zip In my case the latest Link Software doesn't work with my HX750i. Maybe you've the same issue.
gse4me
Hello all, Thanks for the suggestions. @Toasted: I do not have any unknown devices. The PSU is under the HID interface, with a generic driver. @Y-Fritz: For that version of the driver, and only that, I get the following error during instalation: Can you guys install that version of the software? Regards, Vlad
gse4me
Good news, It's finally working ! Seems that Bitdefender generated the error above. I added an exclusion and installed successfully. This version (2.7.5339) reports "power in" and "efficiency". Thank you ! Vlad

gse4me
Hello all, Even though it is working, "cough", it seems that the maximums are multiplied by 10x :) This software is incredible :) Thanks to everyone who participated in this topic, Vlad

gse4me
Why not Toasted? I wasn't doing anything special, aka the system was idle. Vlad
WhiteSnake76
The 64,0 Watt power out, and 76,2 Watt power in are way to low for your system even at idle, thats why. I got the same PSU as you mate, same problems with 2.7.5361, but if you right klick the tray icon and select one of the Info lines you do see the readings, its just not showing all of them in the CL window... Maza
I was curious what my energy meter shows for the consumption of PC. It was quite near when compared to what Corsair link shows. Difference was around 5 W. See attached pictures - idle and stressed with Furmark.
Toasted
That is good to know. Though gse4me's PC with two GTX760s and that kind of idle power usage reading is somewhat really good if its true.

Though gse4me's PC with two GTX760s and that kind of idle power usage reading is somewhat really good if its true. Corsair Employee Corsair Dustin Posted January 15, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 15, 2015 That idle power is really good, but not impossible to achieve. The 760s idle low, especially if in SLI. And the i7-4770K can idle pretty low too.
gse4me
Hey, For that picture I posted I had the CPU in a power savings enabled mode (no overclock). So in idle it uses 1 thread at 800 MHZ. All threads ramp up when I'm doing something intensive. Also, the 760 GTXs in SLI are very ok in idle. The second board is almost completely turned off, and both are in GEN1 instead of GEN3 when not gaming... Regards, Vlad
Y-Fritz
For your information the Link version 3.1.5525 still has the bug.
dilla69
Also downloaded version 2.7.5339 as suggested and it works (aside from max numbers (see screenshot below)). All other versions are bugged and do not show the efficiency and some other stuff. http://i.imgur.com/iQI5P0t.png
