cpdaniel
I'm building up some 1U servers. Naturally these require "low profile" DIMMs. Annoyingly, virtually no DIMM specs (Corsair included) give physical dimensions. Equally annoying, the server manufacturer (Supermicro) doesn't give physical dimensions as to what will actually fit, so I'm left to make my best estimate. Exactly how tall are CMX512-3200C2PT modules? Does anyone know if they'll physically fit in a Supermicro 1U server?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 15, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 15, 2004 I would not suggest you use XMS memory for any OEM or server system. What is the exact module # of the system or MB that you have?
cpdaniel
They're SuperMicro 5013C-T servers. I decided to go with CM64SD512-3200 modules, which according to the specs (that actually list dimensions) should be appropriate.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 17, 2004 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 17, 2004 Yes this should be compatible with it, and will work without any problem.
