Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted January 11, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 11, 2015 Just to make it clear, I'm currently using a 6pin cable which is connected to psu in peripheral & sata slot. On the other side of this cable, there are x4 4pin peripheral which connects to the cables I got from the gpu box. I am perfectly clear you are using those adapters. DO NOT use those adapters. The RM1000 most certainly DOES come with the cables you need. In fact, I believe there are SIX of them. They have an 8-pin on one side and a 6+2-pin on the other. USE THOSE. This is what the side that plugs into the graphics card looks like: http://www.corsair.com/Media/catalog/product/c/o/connectors_3_2.png DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT use the adapters that come with the graphics card. Those are for people with very old PSUs that do not have PCIe cables.
Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted January 11, 2015 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 11, 2015 Should I just connect this cable: http://imgur.com/DI25T3B (Type3 8-pin to psu, other two pci-e to gpu.) Instead of all those ohers? YES!!!!!! That is the cable you should be using.
Wan
I plugged it in and the computer booted successfully. It hasn't shutdown yet and I hope it won't. Thanks for all the help, jonnyguru. I will post here again if my pc will shutdown.
